The Art Road to Peace

The German Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art support ‘The Art Road to Peace’ project which brings Arab and Jewish Israeli children from all social levels together in the Museum to experience and create art. In frequent visits and guided tours through the Museum’s exhibitions, the participating children are introduced to new experiences and encouraged to explore the most diverse areas of art in hands-on experiments. Israeli artists from various cultural backgrounds guide the children in discovering the world of art together through painting, sculpture, photography and printing and, at the same time, reveal to them the importance of cooperation. The language of art allows the children to come together and to enter into dialogue on the basis of their curiosity and shared interests. This peaceful vision of a first-hand encounter with cooperation and tolerance is a particular focus of the Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
