A circle of friends in support of international art, culture and peace projects

The German Friends of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art was founded in 2002 and welcomes both Jewish and non-Jewish members. Together with the older Friends organizations in the USA, England, France, Italy and Switzerland, the goal of the German Friends is to support through donations the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and its special projects and activities.

In concrete terms, the German Friends offer financial support exclusively to ‘The Art Road to Peace’ project. We additionally foster contacts among German and Israeli artists and promote cooperation between museums and galleries in Germany and Israel.

A large number of members prominent in international public and cultural life participate in achieving the goals of the international Friends organizations. The German Friends is also proud of its growing number of prominent members. In addition to its involvement in the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, the German Friends serves as an active social forum which aims to bring art and culture to its members in selected venues. Musical events and lectures also belong to the program offerings, as do visits to private collections, personal guided tours of exhibitions, as well as art-related trips, including to Israel, of course. The close connection to the other Friends organizations opens the doors to all of these activities on an international stage.
